Pattern for Three-Yard Quilt

Three Yard Crib Quilts – Shirley & Juanita

Get 3 yards of color coordinating fabrics. 37x41

  • All 3, 1 yard pieces should be exactly the same size.
  • Fold each piece the same way, separately, the stack, all going the same way.

  1. Fold fabric cut edge to cute edge.
  2. Now fold fabric selvage to selvage.
  3. Stack all 3 fabrics, with folds on the same sides (alike).
  4. Trim off selvage.
  5. Cut 9” across the bottom raw edge (horizontally) through all 3 fabrics. Leave in place.
  6. Cut 9” on right side (vertically) through all 3 fabrics, cutting through the piece you cut in #5 (this is the corner stones).
  7. The remaining piece is the body of the quilt (center).

Each quilt will have all 3 fabrics:   (a) Body, (b) Sides, (c) Corner stones.
